Formation: Feeding the Mind
Sunday Bible Study | 10:15a
We take our Bible seriously, and coming together to look closely at the text and ask questions has always been an important part of our weekly rhythm. We believe that reading the Bible with a combination of scholarship, tradition, and the wisdom of personal experience allows us to know God more fully. We are not afraid to express our doubts, concerns, and struggles with scripture and with faith- your questions are welcome here!
Weekly Evening Bible Study | Wednesdays at 7:30 on Zoom
Throughout the year, our priest offers a weekly Bible study on Zoom on Wednesday nights following Wednesday Night Live. These studies are an opportunity to dive deep into the scriptures and learn from scholars and from one another. Mother Allison often incorporates art, music, and short videos to deepen and broaden our understanding of the texts. You can learn more about our current study on our Facebook page or by subscribing to our weekly email newsletter.
Seasonal Studies | Advent & Lent
Twice a year during the seasons of Advent (the 4 weeks leading to Christmas) and Lent (the 6 weeks leading to Easter) we join forces with our friends at 4 other area Episcopal churches for a time of study and prayer. The format changes based on the needs of the community but usually consists of a weekly in-person meeting on Thursday mornings during the seasons of Lent and Advent. You can learn more about our current study on our Facebook page or by subscribing to our weekly email newsletter.
Summer Book Club | Weekly in July
Read and reflect on accessible spiritual writings in a casual small group setting each week in July. The book is chosen and announced on social media and our newsletter in May and copies are made available at cost in June at the church. This is a shared study with our partners at St Mark’s Episcopal Church in Clifford.
